Nyelvi követelmények | angol B2 If the medium of instruction was English during the Msc studies, the MSc diploma can be accepted as language exam certificate for the entry requirement. For this purpose a document issued by the university has to be uploaded until the application deadline certifying that the medium of instruction was English during the master studies. If this In order to submit the dissertation at the end of the doctoral programme, the diplomas obtained outside the European Union must be acknowledged by the Hungarian Equivalence and Information Center (HEIC). The process to obtain this document is the student’s responsibilty. Áttekintés
Program description:
Doctoral students participating in the organized program have to collect 240 credit points (CR) to obtain the absolutorium. The program lasts 48 months, divided to 8 semesters. A minimum of 20 CR and a maximum of 45 CR must be completed in each semester. A total of minimum 90 CR must be collected during the first 4 semesters, before the comprehensive (complex) examination. 15 CR can be obtained each semester with research work (experimental or numerical work, literature search, calculations, etc.). The doctoral students can earn credit points for international journal articles (10 credit/article, max. 50 in total), their own international conference presentations (5 CR/talk, max. 15 in total, 3 CR/poster, max. 15 in total). Altogether at least 130 CR, but not more than 200 CR have to be obtained with research work. The coursework is honored with 5 CR/course (2h/week, 14 weeks/semester). At least 5 courses have to be completed during the first two years for min. 25 CR. among them 3 courses in the given Research Program, the others can be chosen freely with the supervisor’s agreement credits). Teaching assistantship is honored with 2 CR for 1 h of teaching per week per semester but maximum 8 CR can be obtained in one semester. Altogether a minimum of 24 credits has to be collected, but not more than 48 CR can be earned for teaching. At least 1 presentation on the research work has to be given as a project report at departmental seminars or other scientific meetings (e.g. regular meetings of the Working Groups of Hungarian Academy of Sciences, or national conferences). 3 CR is given for each presentation but max. 12 CR can be earned. One presentation is mandatory in the first year of the PhD training.

Catalysis, Surface, Colloid and Materials Science, Chemistry of Coordination Compounds, Physical Chemistry, Organic and Bioorganic Chemistry, Theoretical Chemistry

Entrance exam description:
Application procedure: The applicants shall apply online until the deadline. The applicants shall submit the proofs of their previous studies, including a certificate which includes the GPA of the completed courses. The applicants shall submit the proofs of their previous scientific achievements (publications, posters, etc.) The applicants shall submit a motivation letter. Based on the above documents, the Entrance Exam Committee (appointed by the Council of the Doctoral School) will shortlist the suitable candidates for a Skype interview. The Entrance Exam Committee consists of 3 people, which includes the Head/Deputy Head of the School, and the Head of the Relevant Program. The Skype interview last approx. 20 minutes, where the applicants will be asked to present their previous research experience as well as to answer to the questions of the Committee.
