Felvételi követelmény

Gimnázium / középiskola (vagy magasabb szintű) The students who can apply for the Infant and Early Childhood Education BA Program are expected to present the documentation of their certificate of matriculation from a secondary school and to submit their application with the necessary attachments. The university accepts only certificates, which are equivalent to the Hungarian certificate of matriculation, thus appropriate for continuing one’s studies in university education. If the certificate is not in English, the university needs an official translation, which could be a translation by the secondary school as well. If the applicant completes their secondary education during the current term and their certificate is not issued before the application deadline, a proof of student status or a certification, which verifies that the applicant will receive matriculation is required instead. In case of being accepted as a student, however, the applicant must present their certificate of matriculation upon enrolment at the latest. Please note: Even if you have completed higher education, we only need your high school certificate provided. The educational and outcome requirements are defined by the Ministry of Human Capacities (Regulation No. 18/2016. (VIII. 5.). The details of the application and admission process are defined by the Organisational and Operational Regulations of ELTE. Végül az egyetemre magával kell vinnie a bemeneti követelmények teljesítését igazoló dokumentumok eredeti példányát.

The language knowledge is assessed and evaluated during the online interview. Although no official language certificate is required for the programme, it is recommended. The language of instruction for the entire programme is English.

Entry requirements: Secondary School Certificate, Transcript of records, Final exam result, CV, Motivation letter, Copy of the main pages of the passport (needs to be valid), Certificate of clean criminal records, Language certificate (if you have), ELTE Medical certificate. Our university also needs its own special Medical certification – general medical certificate. To confirm the medical eligibility: download the formal document from: here After uploading all required documents; motivation letter; medical certificate, the applicant takes a professional online entrance examination organised by the Admission Committee of the Eötvös Loránd University Faculty of Primary and Pre-School Education. The interview takes about 20 minutes in the previously indicated and scheduled time sent by the student coordinator via e-mail. Parts of the online aptitude Test: 1., Language aptitude test in English – oral The language aptitude test in English is defined as evaluating the candidate’s potential for an intermediate-level English language competence. The assessment will contain an interview based on the letter of motivation. 2., Speech aptitude is specially designed to evaluate whether the candidate has good communicative competences; his/her speech is qualified for the teacher’s profession, and the ability to acquire the curricula of the pre-primary’s language education. Place of entrance examination: Online During the entrance interview, should the examiners detect the usage of any outside source (such as a translator or the presence of a third person who is aiding the applicant), the applicant will be automatically disqualified. Reading aloud from prepared texts or notes will result in a severe deduction of points from the English assessment section. Description:
The goal of this program is to lay the foundations for pedagogical competence, theoretical and methodological culture for early childhood educators. The program provides an up-to-date pedagogical approach and literacy on which to build further specialized knowledge, and which will help to effectively address the educational needs of children aged 0-3 years. It contributes to the development of the teacher candidate’s pedagogical self-image, inspiring the adoption and development of an attitude of a teacher who is aware of the child, who provides support and a model, and who cooperates effectively with the group of children and the family.
This program is recommended to applicants who want to prepare for working in a nursery and to gain a deeper understanding of the cognitive and emotional development of the first three years. It is recommended for all those who have an interest in both the theoretical and practical aspects of early childhood education; who, alongside this interest, have a commitment to supporting children’s cognitive and emotional development.

This program enables students to work independently in nurseries, organize their work autonomously. They will become familiar with the practice of educating and caring for children aged 0-3 years and will be able to use different methods and solve problems related to education.

Career opportunities
Upon completion of the program, students will be able to work independently in nurseries as nursery teachers and nursery educators in both public and private institutions. They can lead groups of children and plan their work autonomously. Once qualified, they can start their own business by opening a crèche or childcare center and work with families in childcare. Training in English also opens up international career opportunities.
