Program description:
The aim of the program is to provide a comprehensive education that prepares students for a successful engineering practice and advanced studies. Students learn about the basic physical laws governing our environment, materials science and technology at macro- micro- and nanometer scales, as well as mathematics and informatics. They acquire practical knowledge in computer engineering and electronic technology, microelectronics and energy systems, optical materials and automation. Apart from basic and applied knowledge, students will be trained in e-commerce, planning, solving and managing problems efficiently. During the first year, the BSc program offers introductory and advanced courses of Mathematics, Physics, Informatics, Materials Science, Chemistry that provides a basis for the next step in Advanced Professional Module, where the accent is on the Electronics, Programming, Digital Techniques, Automation, Electricity and Magnetism, Measuring Technology and Energetics. Optional Professional Subjects are selected according to the two specializations (Infotechnology and Automation) which start in the last three semesters: Photonics, Nanotechnology and Nanoelectronics, Digital Signal Processing, Electric Drives, Sensors, PLC, Power Electronics. The courses of Environmental Studies, Economics and Management, Civil Law and Intellectual Properties support the development of management skills. In the last three semesters, students work in elective laboratories, have a four-week training at factories and make their thesis research, based on different research programs and co-operation with industrial partners.

Electronic

Entrance exam description:
The two main aspects of the selection procedure are the professional educational results and the English language proficiency. In case of a missing certificate about the English language proficiency we conduct a Skype interview in order to check the applicant’s English language skills. After evaluating the documentations and previous educational results, the applicant is required to take an entrance exam (online) and is admitted with a result of at least 60% (60 – 75% -> preparatory year, over 75%-> first year).

Karrierlehetőségek

An electrical engineer designs, develops and maintains electrical control systems and components according to required specifications. Graduates can occupy a variety of roles in engineering consultancies, manufacturing, automotive and railway engineering, steel manufacturing, or water companies. Most electrical engineers work in multidisciplinary project teams, which are likely to include engineers from other specialist areas as well as architects, marketing and sales staff, manufacturers, technicians and customer service personnel.

“There are numerous research opportunities even at the Bachelor level and students get to display their creativity and translate theoretical knowledge into practical projects via Engineering Fairs and Exhibitions organized all year round by the University. This offers excellent industry exposure and creates prospective job opportunities for students as well.” (Muhammad, Electrical Engineering student from Pakistan)
