The core mission of the Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship is to strengthen the ties between Hungarian diaspora communities and Hungary by giving access for people with Hungarian roots, living in Hungarian diasporas to study programmes in higher education institutions in Hungary. The main goal of the program is to support those who want to return to their Hungarian roots and become professionals in areas that also contribute to the well-being of diaspora communities.
If you are not connected to Hungary, do not have Hungarian heritage and roots but still wish to study in Hungary, please let us call your attention to the Stipendium Hungaricum Programme with the aim of providing opportunity for foreign students to pursue their higher education studies in Hungary. The programme is based on bilateral educational cooperation agreements signed between the Ministries responsible for education in the sending countries/territories and Hungary. Currently more than 80 Sending Partners are engaged in the programme on 5 different continents. (You can check the list of the sending partners on the following website: stipendiumhungaricum.hu/partners/)

Should you have any questions, please contact us at diasporascholarship@tpf.hu.
