Overview
Program description:
The goal of our program is to educate economic professionals having a global competitive edge in finance, in particular financial analysis and risk management. Our graduated students are capable of complex and independent financial thinking, managing and analyzing the financial processes of the economy both at macro and micro level. The main focus of our program is to provide high level of professional standards in investment analysis, portfolio management, corporate and bank treasury and risk management. For the above mentioned purposes, we have been striving to
cover the requirements of the international Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Financial Risk Manager (FRM) for the development of the course structure and curriculums. As a consequence our students upon graduation will also have the knowledge to pass successfully CFA/FRM exams.
Our programme is accredited by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP, the FRM certification provider) and by CFA Institute (the CFA certification provider) as well. This feature of our training is unique in the Hungarian higher education market, and it is also rare in an international setting.

Admission procedure in general and general requirements: refer to admission regulations at www.bme.hu Minimum criteria: eligible diploma of BSc, successful admission test; Steps: – preevaluation of the submitted documents: quality of BSc diploma, quality of BSc transcript, obtained credits in specific fields (min 60 ECTS equivalent), additional evaluated aspects: quality of motivation letter, recommendation letter (if available), extracurricular activities – electronic e-admission test (via internet): technical knowledge; electronic admission interview (given that written test succeeded): technical knowledge, evaluation of language skills (the test is in English), motivation, attitude, technical preparedness in the selected field; Result: admission to MSc programme /admission rejected
