Overview
Program description:
The aim of the program is to provide Ph.D. degree in one of the main directions of the Doctoral School of Environmental Science: environmental biology, environmental chemistry, physics or geosciences. Emphasis is on the application of the given discipline in complex research projects, such as water quality changes and management, risk analysis and mitigation in various human and natural environments, renewable energy research, etc. The program offers training in up-to-date experimental methods and field exercises besides a solid theoretical background education.

Entrance exam description:
The basic objective of oral interviews of candidates in English communication skills, knowledge and professional background check. Interviews will take place if the application materials for the professional screening of the candidates’ education, learning outcomes and planned research projects seem appropriate, fit the profile of the school.,

APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO FIND A SUPERVISOR IN THE DOCTORAL SCHOOL
The available research topics of the Doctoral School can be found on the website of the Hungarian Doctoral Council here: doktori.hu/index.php?menuid=116&lang=EN by searching for the Doctoral School and topics that are “just announced”. Research topics are usually published in December-January. Applicants have to contact the potential supervisor and come to an agreement with them. Applicants without a supervisor will be rejected.
