Solve complex financial problems and support decision-making in the corporate world. Officially recognised programme of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA).
Programme Description Careers in finance are amongst the best paid. Financial strategies and principles are the foundation of all businesses, consumers, and the global economy. All companies, whether start-ups or multinationals, have finance departments, regardless of sector.
Our MSc Finance programme will forge you into a professional with high-level theoretical, methodological, and practical competencies who is competitive in the labour market.
You will develop an innovative economic approach and become a confident problem solver.
The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) recognises and accredits our programme. We will cover 70 percent of the CFA curriculum, fast-tracking and elevating your financial and investment career capabilities on an international level.
Our comprehensive curriculum, delivered by experienced professors and guest lecturers, covers a wide range of topics from quantitative finance, banking risk management and corporate finance, to corporate valuation. You will gain a deep understanding of the financial world.
Further your professional acumen with access to the Corvinus Financial Laboratory (Finlab), which is equipped with Bloomberg and Reuters terminals.
After graduating from the programme, you will have all the assets necessary to become a full-fledged analyst of the economy’s financial processes. You will cultivate deep expertise in business and methodology and obtain managerial skills, giving you future access to various domestic and international economic and business life fields.
Entry requirements:
Undergraduate degree meeting minimum credit requirements (see above)
Entrance exam:
The entrance exam is an online written test and an interview organized by Corvinus University of Budapest.
You are not required to do the written test if you have one of the following:
- One of the following tests with the following minimum scores: GMAT (500), GRE (300), NMAT (150) or GMAT FE (485).
- A 5 (A) or 4 (B) grade degree from an AACSB/EQUIS accredited or CEMS member university.
Please note that even if you have either of the above you will still have to take part in the interview.
Note: meeting the minimum score does not guarantee admission, but you will be ineligible if you don’t meet this requirement. The actual threshold will be set by the Dean in late April. This includes the international tests and the accredited degree. Your test score or degree grade will be converted into an admission score.
