Overview
In the frame of the high-standard full-time Metallurgical Engineering MSc program students are not only provided with a thorough theoretical foundation but emphasis is also put on improving their engineering skills through the Faculty’s active and extensive relations with top companies.
Our widely recognized Metallurgical Engineering program is particularly useful for the next generation of factory/plant engineers as it represents a deep, theoretical and practical knowledge of the given specialization.
It is a unique training with a focus on heat treatment and metal forming engineering (which are the only one specializations offered in English during the MSc program).
Metallurgical engineers are able to produce metals and alloys with the utilization of metallic raw materials and metal-containing waste as well as to process these materials into products with the form and size specified by the processing industry, and it is necessary to produce metal components and structures meeting ever stricter requirements.
SPECIALIZATIONS: Heat treatment and metal forming.

Career opportunities
Metallurgical engineers deal with the structure, properties and usability of the materials found in our everyday objects and high-tech devices around us, examine and classify the materials, and develop and operate innovative technologies.
Our graduates work for successful domestic and international small, medium and large companies, including in the driving sectors of Europe, such as the internationally competitive automotive, heat treating and metal forming industries.
