Overview
The program is a 60 ECTS credit Master’s degree for students with diverse backgrounds: public administration, law, management, law enforcement, military, and IT graduates are welcome. It is encouraged that the applicant already has a master’s degree before application. The program focuses on security management and global strategy. According to the European Cybersecurity Skills Framework, the graduates will be qualified for Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Cyber Legal, Policy and Compliance Officer, and Cybersecurity Risk Manager roles.
The unique feature of the course is that it is designed in a full-time blended learning format, so classes will be held and assignments must be completed each week. However, we plan to have only three separate weeks of attendance in Budapest per semester to facilitate the in-person participation of international students. The training will also involve renowned speakers from abroad.
After acquiring IT basics that underpin the field, students will be introduced to security standards and legal regulations, risk assessment, and the technical foundations of information security. They will then gain a deeper understanding international, military, and law enforcement aspects of cyber security, with an international focus.
The main subjects are Risk Management, Cybercrime, Cyber Warfare, Cybersecurity Strategy and Leadership, Crisis Management and Communications, Human Factors of Cybersecurity, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Security Testing and Forensics.
