Overview

Program description:
The aim of the program is to train IT professionals who are capable of understanding and resolving the specific business processes underlying the information-based society, managing the IT tasks that support value-creating processes, and making the best use of the opportunities presented by modern information technology. Graduates will be able to increase the knowledge base and business intelligence of organizations, model processes based on interaction between info-communication processes and technologies, regulate and plan processes, identify problems, define problem areas, develop and operate applications, and monitor their operation in accordance with the requisite quality standards.

Entrance exam description:
The two main aspects of the selection procedure are the professional educational results and the English language proficiency. In case of a missing certificate about the English language proficiency we conduct a Skype interview in order to check the applicant’s English language skills. After evaluating the documentations and previous educational results, the applicant is required to take an entrance exam (online) and is admitted with a result of at least 60% (60 – 75% -> preparatory year, over 75%-> first year).

Career opportunities

The following career prospects are the most probable: company management system supporter, business analyzer, financial report developer, system administrator, business data system developer and tester. A successful applicant for a position should be excellent at such basic technologies as MySQL or MS SQL database, Unix/Linux, and Windows operating systems. After gaining appropriate experience business informatics graduates can succeed in applying for the position of manager at smaller enterprises.
