Duolingo, EFSET Certificate on English medium of instruction In case of a missing certificate about the English language proficiency, we conduct a Skype interview and a written English placement test in order to check the applicant’s English language skills.

A motivation letter must be added to your application. Statement by the supervisor must be uploaded (including a preliminary research proposal signed by the supervisor and the head of the school). For the PhD application you need to write a research plan (minimum 2 pages, typed with Times New Roman 12 point font size letters, written in the language of the selected study programme). Program description:
Fields of specialization include reaction kinetics and catalysis, coordination chemistry, environmental and instrumental analytical chemistry, macromolecular and surface chemistry, chemistry, biochemistry and synthesis and structure elucidation of carbohydrate-containing biologically active compounds, synthesis and structural study of heterocyclic compounds and other synthetic materials.

The following competencies will be considered and scored during the (oral) admission process: Proficiency in chemistry (max. 55 points); Quality of the diploma (MSc degree is necessary); Previous scientific activity (research papers, conference presentations – lectures/posters, etc.; max. 45 points). A successful applicant should reach a minimum of 60 points in total.
