Program description:
Fields of specialization include reaction kinetics and catalysis, coordination chemistry, environmental and instrumental analytical chemistry, macromolecular and surface chemistry, chemistry, biochemistry and synthesis and structure elucidation of carbohydrate-containing biologically active compounds, synthesis and structural study of heterocyclic compounds and other synthetic materials.

Entrance exam description:
The following competencies will be considered and scored during the (oral) admission process: Proficiency in chemistry (max. 55 points); Quality of the diploma (MSc degree is necessary); Previous scientific activity (research papers, conference presentations – lectures/posters, etc.; max. 45 points). A successful applicant should reach a minimum of 60 points in total.

Programme structure

The student must complete the required study credits (12), research credits (228) and the complex exam (after the 4th semester), as well as the publication requirements prescribed by the doctoral school (minimum 2 publications in peer-reviewed international journals).
