Programme structure
A képzés célja:
A képzés célja olyan szakemberek képzése, akik a különböző geoszférák felépítésével, folyamataival kapcsolatos ismereteik birtokában képesek önálló tervező, irányító, szakértői munkakörök betöltésére a földtudományokhoz kapcsolódó tudományos kutatásokat végző, a földtudományok eredményeit alkalmazó és továbbfejlesztő munkahelyeken, kutató-fejlesztő intézetekben és szakigazgatási szervekben. Alkotó módon képesek bekapcsolódni az
ipar, a mező- és erdőgazdaság, a vízügy, a települési önkormányzatok, valamint a természetvédelem területén jelentkező földtudományi szakképzettséget igénylő feladatok megoldásába.

Elhelyezkedési lehetőségek:
Az MSc fokozat megszerzését követően lehetőség van a doktori fokozat megszerzésére a PTE TTK Földtudományi Doktori Iskolájában.
Elhelyezkedésre a környezetvédelmi és a nyersanyagkutató cégeknél (a Dél-Dunántúli régióban például: Mecsekérc Zrt., Mecsek-Öko Környezetvédelmi Zrt., Biokom Kft., Geochem Kft.), a
geoturisztikában vagy a természetvédelmi hatóságoknál van lehetőség.
