Program description:
Those who choose undergraduate studies in music performance of the music training branch in the artistic training field receive a bachelor degree. In the diploma the specific title of their qualifications in performance is determined by the instrument chosen. The undergraduate study program offers training in 45 instrumental/vocal fields (out of which 24 are offered in English as well). Performance in music requires fundamental music studies in theory and history necessary for professional musicians’ education, refined instrumental/vocal technical skills, and fundamental studies in style, all of which are provided for students by the BA program. The program’s core curriculum includes foundation courses such as philosophy, aesthetics, ethic, cultural and historical studies, knowledge in general and Hungarian music through concert experience, and acoustics. General professional studies and skills cover the area of music theory, solfége, piano, chamber music/chamber singing, contemporary music practice, orchestral and choral conducting.
