Entry qualification | Bachelor diploma (or higher) An authorized copy of a BSc degree from any higher education institution already completed that is relevant to your application. BSc degree in Economics or International Economics or Geography or Sociology or International Studies or Urban Management or Urban Engineering or Urban/Regional/Landscape Planning or Environmental Engineering or Transport or Agricultural Economics or Rural/Regional Development are preferred. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university. We can accept admission documents in Hungarian, English or notarized English translations. |

Overview
The objective of the study programme is to train experts, who by obtaining a high level theoretical and practical knowledge are able to analyse sustainable regional and ecological processes, to recognise relations and problems, to creatively and innovatively partake in regional and environmental policies, strategies and programmes and to follow regional and environmental sciences, focusing on future oriented and innovative urban and regional management and governance methodologies like smart cities approach, nature based soultions.
We use the central admission system with the support of the Center for International Programs:
1. review of the language and academic test with the help of the INOK and the head of the programme,
2. evaluating the previous academic results and admission documents
4. Online interview for students (including oral language test where language skills are not clear based on the certificates submitted
5. Verification of formal requirements

Programme structure
The total number of credits – 120 including thesis and final exam.
The courses of the programme are divided into two categories:
• compulsory courses (112 credit):
- on theories (37 credits),
- on policies and planning (24 credits),
- on management (16 credits)
- on methodology (20 credits)
- on thesis work consultation (15 credits)
• freely elected courses from a selected set of courses of the university (8 credits)
