Entry qualification

Bachelor diploma (or higher) Professional requirements: Bachelor’s degree relevant to the Master’s studies, English language compliance, list of courses, CV, motivation letter (in English). BA/BSc degrees in Vehicle Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Safety Engineering, Military and Safety Engineering, Military and security Engineering, Engineering Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering in the Agriculture and Food Industry. Applicants with other types of BA/BSc degrees can also apply, but will have to fulfil some additional requirements. • English as a primary language of instruction: automatic acceptance. • TOEFL 513 /IELTS 5.5/oral examination, • TOEFL IBT test score of 66 or any standardised international English language exam corresponding with CEFR level B2 for Bachelor’s and level C1 at Master’s level. • If there is no standardised English exam, the University relies on the Agent’s assessment as well as on the Skype interview. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Hungarian. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university. We can accept admission documents in Hungarian, English or notarized English translations.

Overview

Mechanical Engineering MSc education basically has one specialization in English language: Materials and Production Technologies, which covers designing and elaborating production processes, the conceptions of manufacturing technologies as well as implementing devices and systems, modelling, operating, maintaining, supervising and organizing production tasks. This specialization considers the needs of the partner industrial companies. The curriculum of Mechanical engineering MSc (in English) is structured in 4 semesters, each semester having 14 weeks of teaching activity. Thus, the curriculum includes the subjects of advanced knowledge in the field of Mechanical Engineering and thorough knowledge of disciplines necessary for a rapid integration of the master program graduate in the labor market.
University of Győr has extensive contacts with industrial partners who contribute to several of their taught courses through active teaching, curriculum development, and panel discussion. Recent contributors in the area of mechanical engineering include AUDI Hungaria Zrt, Rába Futómű Kft and SMR Automotive Mirror Technology Hungary Bt.
We use the central admission system with the support of the Center for International Programs:
1. review of the language and academic test with the help of the INOK and the head of the programme,
2. evaluating the previous academic results and admission documents
4. Online interview for students (including oral language test where language skills are not clear based on the certificates submitted
5. Verification of formal requirements
